The Texas Examinations of Educator Standards (TExES) tests are part of the Texas Educator Certification Program. In order to work as a public educator in the state of Texas, you must take this test to demonstrate that you have the necessary knowledge and skills.
●Many areas of specialty exist in the field of education, and for this reason there are many different TExES tests.
●All tests contain multiple-choice questions.
●Some tests also contain additional questions that call for an open-ended response.
●See the following website for information regarding the specific TExES test you plan to take and the specific TExES score you wish to earn: http://www.texes.ets.org/texes/testframeworks/
The TExES test costs $120, with one exception: the Superintendent (064) exam is $240, because it consists of two testing sessions, both of which must be passed in order to serve as a Superintendent.
The TExEs test comes in both paper-based and computer-administered formats, and you can register online for either format. Unlike TExES paper-based tests, some of the computer-administered tests are offered on an on-going basis. Check online in order to verify when the test you wish to take is available.
The paper-based tests are offered on specific dates. Consult the chart below to find out which date works best for you. For more information, consult this official website:http://www.texes.ets.org/
