President Obama continues his West Coast trip Monday, traveling to San Francisco to raise campaign money and talk about immigration.

Obama, who headlined a pair of fundraisers Sunday night in Seattle, flies to San Francisco in the morning and visits the Betty Ann Ong Chinese Recreation Center to discuss immigration.

The Democratic-run U.S. Senate passed an immigration bill earlier this year, but the issue has languished in the Republican-led House.

While calling on the House to act, Obama will insist that a final immigration bill include strengthened border security and creation of "an earned path to citizenship" for people who are already in the country illegally, said the White House.

Many House Republicans oppose a pathway to citizenship, likening it to amnesty for lawbreakers.

After his immigration speech in San Francisco, Obama attends two fundraisers for the Democratic National Committee.

Then it's off to Los Angeles and two more fundraisers for Democratic House and Senate campaign committees.

Obama will spend the night in Los Angeles.
